There exists no more important book for the revival of Islam in our times than Root Islamic Education. Root Islamic Education demonstrates that the most complete expression of the sunna was embodied in the practive (ámal) of the first  three generations of the people of Madinah which was captures for posterity by Iman Malik in hid book al-Muwatta.

In the Muwatta Malik records the hadith that Prophet said: «I have left among you two things and as long as you hold fast to them you will not go astray: the Book of Allah and the sunna of His Prophet.´´ And what he shows us is that what was pactised in Madinah in the second century hijra was indeed the « Book of Allah and the sunna of His Prophet´´ – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – in action.

Root Islamic Education not only shows how the recorded actions of the people of Madinah do truly constitute the most complete expression of Islam in action, but also how is it precisly this dynamic expression of Islam in action that is needed for the re-establishment of Islam in this time.

This is the second edition and has been extensively revised by the Author with the addition of two new chapters.
