The songs are translated from the Arabic original by a good translator, Aisha Abd Ar-Rahman At- Tarjumana. Commentaries on the songs are of particular interest to those who are concerned with Sufism or Islamic mysticism. The book also contains the biographies of the authors of the original songs.
